Cityworks Online Debuts at 2012 Esri International User Conference

Azteca Systems Inc., the leading provider of GIS-centric management solutions, introduced Cityworks in a fully hosted, cloud environment at the 2012 Esri International User Conference. Designed and built exclusively for Esri’s ArcGIS, Azteca Systems Inc. continues to set the pace for agencies that manage assets, permitting and licensing with innovative, intuitive and affordable solutions.

With Esri’s ArcGIS 10.1 at the core, Cityworks Online leverages Esri’s Web Map technology in a cost effective SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that is easily accessible and instantly deployable. Hosted in Amazon’s Cloud and combined with Cityworks Local Government Templates (LGT), Cityworks Online is the fastest, easiest way to managing the maintenance, inspection and inventory or virtually any physical asset. The same full function and proven asset management solution Cityworks is known for available in a clean, hosted environment.

“The Cloud represents an inflection point in computing history,” said Brian Haslam, President and CEO of Azteca Systems Inc. “For our user community, our goal is to keep Cityworks on the forefront of emerging technologies to increase productivity, improve performance and lower costs. Cityworks Online allows us to meet the needs of smaller agencies with a rich set of tools and standard maintenance templates that span a wide array of day-to-day workflows in an amazingly affordable and simple delivery model.”

The web is fast evolving into much more than a means to connect people. We’re very excited to be showing the GIS community Cityworks’ true GIS-centric, asset management functionality, hosted live on Amazon’s Cloud. This represents a turning point for so many people and so many applications – enabling smaller agencies, empowering field staff and supporting decision makers in a connected, collaborative and familiar environment.

Cityworks Online was featured center stage at the recent Cityworks User Conference, June 25 thru 29 in Park City, Utah, introduced to more than 500 attendees. Showcased in the Cityworks booth (1913) at the Esri International User Conference in San Diego, California, Cityworks Online will be in general release in the fourth quarter, 2012.
