Cityworks is designed as an open-data enterprise focused system. While Cityworks can perform all of the asset and work management functions needed by most enterprises, there are many other functions managed by other systems. These systems range from financial, human resources, modeling, and others from a variety of vendors. In order to support some of the more common interface needs, Cityworks supports direct communication with a number of software packages. These interfaces include: WinCan. A commonly used sewer TV inspection system, WinCan stores still images, video, and inspection results. Microsoft Excel. Search results and reports can be easily exported to Excel for further analysis. Microsoft Word. Work order and service request printing are easily customized through the use of Word templates. Every type of work order and request can have their own design, data, and format. In addtiion, search results and reports can be exported to Microsoft Word. Customized Interfaces. As part of the Cityworks software license, users can create or direct the creation of third-party interfaces to the Cityworks system. These may include capabilities such as linkages to employee records, customer billing systems, key legacy systems, or other modeling packages. |
