Formed in 1986, Azteca Systems, LLC initially provided GIS/IT consulting and geodata conversion and development. In 1996, the company pivoted and turned its full attention to Cityworks®, the world’s first Web GIS-centric public asset management solution. Today, Cityworks is a Web GIS-centric enterprise management platform available in conjunction with Esri’s ArcGIS®. Cityworks supports the ability to create and track permits, cases, licenses, service requests, work orders, inspections, and tests while managing the tasks and resources (labor, material, and equipment) associated with maintenance activity.

POSITION PROFILE

Cityworks®–Azteca Systems, LLC functions efficiently and effectively under the leadership of the corporate President and CEO. The company is made up of six teams: Administration, Sales, Marketing, Enterprise Solutions, Client and Information Services, and Product Development. Cityworks is a Platinum Partner of Esri® and has over 500 licensed organizations throughout the world.

ORGANIZATIONAL
* Position reports to the Vice President of Sales.
* Individual will be working closely with sales and account managers on both existing and prospective customers to pursue opportunities and expand existing account activity.
* Market focus in municipal and local government, public works, utility districts, transportation, and related segments, including community development.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
* Set up demonstration sites for the Sales and Account Management teams
* Keep all sites current with Esri, Cityworks and SQL database
* Develop presentations and presentation strategies
* Assist in shortlist demonstrations or other significant presentations
* Assist marketing with content for articles or webinars
* Assist in the RFP responses to technical information
* Be knowledgeable of all products in the Cityworks and Esri ecosystem
* Assist in major event presentation development
* Present thought leadership papers at conferences
* Maintain in-depth product knowledge.
* Other duties as assigned

IDEAL CANDIDATE DESCRIPTION
* Friendly personality
* 5+ years in technical sales for a software, GIS, or similar type firm.
* Solid knowledge of community development, public works, and utilities in municipal and/or utility districts (water, wastewater, stormwater, streets, and traffic) is a plus.
* Knowledge and some skills with Esri ArcGIS® is required.
* Knowledge of electric, gas, and/or telecom is a plus.
* Knowledge of leading database systems (Oracle and/or SQL Server) is required
* Ability to think and act strategically as well as tactically.
* Self-starter with a strong need for achievement.
* Enjoys the challenge of being a significant part of a growing, developing organization.
* Strong persuasion, reasoning, and negotiation skills.
* Effective time management, decision making, analytical, and problem solving capabilities.

ORGANIZATIONAL

  • Position reports to the Director of Customer Support.
  • Individual will be working closely with the entire customer support team

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Log communication with customers in CRM originating via multiple channels: phone, chat, email, and web portal
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities
  • Develop and maintain core product knowledge
  • Research available resources to locate known resolutions to help ensure timely resolution of customer issues, and contribute to customer satisfaction and retention
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to identify cause of problems reported by the customer
  • Provide accurate responses and potential solutions
  • Respond in a positive, friendly, confident way to customers’ questions
  • Rely on instructions, pre-established guidelines, experience, and judgement to plan and accomplish daily tasks
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Perform tasks while being moderately supervised to assure a quality support experience
  • Supervision may include content review for emails and web interaction
  • May provide guidance to less experienced personnel
