Onstage during the Plenary of the Cityworks Users Conference, Azteca Systems Inc demonstrated CompassCom’s Mobile Resource Management System. Public Works crews from the City of Loveland, Colorado, were shown real-time in a Cloud solution leveraging Cityworks, CompassWorks, and Esri ArcGIS Online data to provide a GIS-Centric solution for the management of the City’s mobile workforce.
“CompassCom Software and Azteca Systems are expanding our long term relationship to offer the complete solution from on-premises, managed service to cloud-based vehicle tracking and asset management,” said CompassCom Software, CEO, W. Brant Howard. “Leveraging Esri’s ArcGIS platform enables our companies to meet client requirements with an integrated solution.”
The real-time mobile asset data displayed within Cityworks enables public agencies to respond quickly to the needs of their citizens. The demonstration showed how work orders are assigned to mobile assets to improve dispatch efficiency and improve customer service.
“Successful partnerships are built on the success you have with customers,” said Brian Haslam, President and CEO, Azteca Systems Inc. “By that measure, we’ve both enjoyed tremendous success. Our mutual customers agree and we certainly love to showcase places like Loveland, Colorado. Aligned in a common Esri architecture and built on the Cityworks platform, CompassCom and Cityworks make a difference – Empowering GISTM.”
CompassWorks, Cityworks and ArcGIS Online data combine to provide an easily accessible solution in the Cloud. Real-time locations from vehicles and smartphone devices enable the user to click on any individual icon as it moves across the map to access details of its location, heading, speed and status of work completed. The CompassCom technology enables the user to simultaneously track the location of mobile assets from multiple departments creating a common operational picture.
“The CompassCom and Cityworks combined solution eliminates the need to move between multiple applications to manage your mobile workforce while utilizing the GIS data in the background that represents the department or job to be done,” said Howard.
CompassCom and Cityworks have public works, utility, water/wastewater and other municipal departments using our solutions today. These agencies have requested the single application and we expect our off the shelf solution will appeal to users of Cityworks without the expense of a custom integration to other third party AVL solutions.
