This role reports directly to the Director of Customer Support. The Help Desk Representative will work closely with the Help Desk Lead and the entire customer support team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers in a timely and professional manner via multiple channels: phone, chat, email, and web portal interacting with CRM for case resolution where appropriate
  • Research available resources to locate known solutions to help ensure timely resolution of customer issues, and contribute to customer satisfaction and retention
  • Ensure that target support resolution timeframes are met. Maintain 100% compliance to customer service level through active monitoring and escalation
  • Develop and maintain core product knowledge
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities
  • Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform required tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Excellent customer relationship skills and professionalism including interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in Cityworks, Esri GIS, and technical support
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills are a must
  • Effective time management and decision-making
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to conduct product demonstrations
  • A high level of ethics, professionalism, and confidence
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
  • Friendly personality with a can-do attitude and a strong drive for excellence

Recommended Qualifications

  • Knowledge of community development, public works, and utilities in municipal or utility districts (water, wastewater, stormwater, streets, and traffic)
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of leading database systems (Oracle or SQL Server)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM

Education

  • BS/BA in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Information Systems, or similar field
  • Training in advanced GIS is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly ($17.00 – $22.00 range)

This role reports directly to the vice president of vision and product engineering within the industry managers group. The GIS subject matter expert will collaborate regularly with other subject matter experts within the industry manager group.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying development priorities to further extend Esri functionality within the Cityworks platform, creating design documents, and working with the development team to implement
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current Esri technology
  • Support project management, account management, training, and customer support with Esri issues related to Cityworks
  • Assist staff in the Cityworks documentation department with testing, reviewing, and creating documentation, whitepapers, knowledge-base articles, and training documents.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for implementation of Esri technology in coordination with Cityworks products
  • Prepare and present high-quality business and technical documentation
  • Plan and participate in internal education webinars and external marketing webinars

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS® platform (desktop, server, and online) and/or Cityworks platform
  • Strong technical know-how, especially in GIS and work management, and hands-on experience
  • Self-motivated, proactive problem-solving, team-oriented, creative, and collaborative skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s in computer information systems, computer science, GIS, engineering, or related field
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%
  • Preferably this person will be based in one of the following regional offices:
    • Sandy, UT (Salt Lake City area)
    • West Bend, WI (Milwaukee area)
    • Desoto, TX (Dallas area)
    • Tampa, FL
    • Indianapolis (coming soon)
    • Denver (coming soon)

Recommended Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practices
  • Experience in the design, development, implementation, and/or administration of Cityworks solutions or equivalent technology
  • Industry knowledge and experience (e.g., local government, utilities, public works, transportation)
