Cityworks–Azteca Systems, LLC, the leader in GIS-centric public asset management solutions, announced two employee promotions that will position the organization for continued growth and strategic product development.

Rebecca Tamashasky, a 20-year veteran of public asset management and GIS-centric solutions, will take on the new role of vice president of vision and product engineering. Sheldon Bagley, who has more than 30 years of experience in software engineering and most recently led the Cityworks software development and testing teams, has been promoted to vice president of development.

“Cityworks is synonymous with GIS-centric public asset management solutions,” said Brian Haslam, president and CEO of Cityworks–Azteca Systems. “Becky and Sheldon have been integral to the ongoing partnership between Cityworks and Esri. They’ve demonstrated exceptional commitment to our customers, and to providing powerful GIS-centric solutions that empower communities to improve their public infrastructure, citizen engagement, and long-term planning.”

During their respective time at Cityworks, Tamashasky and Bagley played an integral part in establishing the concept of single sign-on, which allows for seamless integration between Cityworks and Esri apps. Tamashasky also led the development of the Cityworks subject matter expert group, a team of skilled industry leaders who work with clients and staff to identify and implement best practices and user-specific solutions.

In their new roles, Tamashasky and Bagley will continue to serve as key members of the Cityworks executive management team that sets the company’s strategic direction and vision. They will work collaboratively to empower and leverage GIS for public asset management, community development, and smart community management.
